This cherub has the appearance of a time weathered plaster statue, that charming aged look we all love so much. It was created using a layering and distressing method with homemade textured white paint and aging patina. It is time consuming, but always worth it. I created the crown using rusted metal banding and handmade distressed gray roses. The back of the crown is embellished with a beautiful a bundle veil. The pieces come from my collection of torn and tattered fabrics and lace. It has the subtle French farmhouse colors using vintage cheesecloth and old French lace and fabrics. My signature embellishments, a heart, ornate key and cross are draped around the neck along with vintage pearl necklaces. As a wonderful finishing touch I made a wood bead garland with old rusted key and tassel.
My cherubs are always one of a kind, with their individual textures and patina. I have created many of these and no two are ever the same. I create all my own one of a kind crowns as well.
Measures 17" tall with crown. 10" deep and 9" wide.
